Maddy: Life of a Beach Bum & Bikini Babe Wannabe!

Havent been to my office for the past 3 days coz was involved in a video shoot for my company’s corporate video..actually its my manager’s project but was involved in helping him out as well.

Pretty fun i must say but hey it was tiring! Especially on the first day lor..coz the day was like so extremely hot..and spent the whole morning out in the sun filming my company’s site etc..so you can imagine how tired i was at the end of the day! Was at Jurong Island for the morning so outta in the sun was killing! It is so different when you are wearing a bikini lying there tanning..and wearing an overall with all the safety gear on! -_-

And this is also the first time that i had to wear all my safety gear! Helmet, goggles, safety vest and safety shoes! The shoes were like so heavy and i looked like Ronald McDonald with the big shoes sticking out of my feet! hee hee..Quite cool really wearing all those kit..especially with the helmet and goggles..jus made me feel like an engineer..hahah..:P And those places that i went to are like industrial sites where it is mainly male-dominated..like shipyard, construction site, etc..so you can imagine the stares that i get when i was walking ard man..Felt so weird..

But it was definitely an experience as i get to enter places where outsiders would neva get a chance to! Like this morning, i actually got the chance to go into an Operating Theatre at SGH where a full mock-up of an operation was done up for us to film! So basically i was wearing those coats, like in Scrubs..actually they called those uniforms Scrubs…Now i know where the show got the name from..hee hee..Seriously it was an eye-opening experience and it was really fun lor!
And i also got a chance to enter the construction site where they are building the Marina IR!:) It was definitely chaotic! and the construction site is really the least safe place in towN! All the unsafe acts that would have endanger the lives of the workers are really nothing to be proud of lor….But it is really impressive looking at the scale of the construction and the number of workers working there..its simply amazing! Also got a chance to visit one of the aero companies..that manufactures the parts that are used in the plane! Simply amazing and it is really very labor instensive lor..

And the video crew was really fun also! Basically it was made up of the director, Lum, videographer, Mr. Goh, Gripman cum helper, Benjamin (whom they call Bin Bin..heard he’s signed-on Commando lor..) and Uncle Chan, our driver..all of them were so fun and funny..and they are my relatives like hundreds of years ago..coz they are teochew also! Spoke in Teochew and the jokes they talked about were so funny! And boy can they eat! After eating a pplate of hor fun, they can somemore eat pancakes, goreng pisang man! Gosh! But hey they are a fun bunch of peeps! Peeps in the entertainment are always fun..:)

Even though every morning i have to wake up like real early to go for my location shoot and going back late and traveling to and fro, it was definitely worth it. And now am just waiting for the post-production to be added on so that it would be complete..when this video is out, it would really be a sense of satisfactioN!

Last night I was at my fav, David Tao’s concert! And boy was he good! When I first saw his concert ad on AXN in Feb, I can still remembered how I felt at that time! I was so excited and was telling myself that I have to go for his concert! So there I was, texting all my frens to see who’s interested in going with me and turned out that none of them were interested in him..gosh u can bet how disappointed I was..and was just thinking at that time, how nice if he was with me in town, then I can dragged him to go with me..sighs..and he also knew I was so disappointed as I was texting him to tell him how I was..and he comforted me by if I really wanna go alone, he would pay for my tix so at least I get to see my fav So was just telling myself worst come to worst, then I will go for it myself and alas! One of my dear sis replied to tell me she doesn’t mind going with me so there we were, both of us at Indoor Stadium listening to my fav, Tao Ze singing all his lovely songs! Thanks Meow for accompanying me to the concert!
Boy was he fantastic! Seriously he is awesome! A normal concert would take about 2 hours but his was like 3 hours! Way above my expectations! And you know how some singers cant really sing live? Well, he is definitely not one of them! He sang so well live! And his Amercian-accent English..woos..that just totally wowed me! Hee hee..he does break into his Amercian English once a while though it’s a Chinese concert..and he does get the crowd going by asking us to join in his songs…inviting a fan up to stage for him to sing to..gosh if it was me, I would definitely melt man! Ahah..:P And making jokes occasionally..hes really really good man! Vocals were awesome! He just sounds like what he is on his CD!

I went to Wang Lee Hom concert two years back, courtesy of a really sweet guy who bought me the tix for my bday..As compared, Lee Hom is okay but Tao Ze is much much better singing live! Though most of his songs are sad love songs, he does it so well!! Especially when he sang all my fav, ai wo hai shi ai ta, peng you and I love you..my gosh, my heard just totally melts..with all those feelings that he was singing..Imagine a guy singing all that to me..* melts * I would totally melt man! (Provided he has a nice voice lah..)
Tao Ze is not your typical cute guy but hey theres something about him that just mesmerizes me to him..and he is so talented! Gosh…* drools * :D~~

And me, was like down with a heavy flu last nite..so you can imagine me sneezing and coughing throughout the concert..if it wasn’t for the concert I would probably be resting at home..but hey I dinch regret going man! Seeing Tao Ze sings just totally makes me better and melt my heart…hee hee..

And lastly thanks to my dear sis, hey meow! Thanks so much for going with me man! I hope you enjoyed yrself as much as I did!

Okay its official..guess by now everyone knows that i am in FHM Girl Next Door 08 contest..ahah..:P Oh well, seriously, my frens were like “What the hell were you thinking?” ahah..seriously i dunch know myself!! ahah..:P Actually i sent in for fun lah..wasnt really lookin into getting into the finals..dont think i will make it also..ahah..but just sent in for fun and hoping to catch a glimpse of myself in the mag..haha..well i suceeded!! for that short period of fame! ahah..even my cousins were like aiyoh why u take part in that competition?? ahah..

One of my long-lost guy fren actually called me just now to tell me “Hey i spotted you in FHM!!” im like okay..but that was last mth lor…ahah..then he said, no wat..its this mth issue..ahaha..:P so funny him..

Well, my colleagues still doesnt know am in the c ompetition except one of them whom i told..or actually my manager knows abt it..:) Coz he has to let me off to go for my shoot and events so had to let him know..he was surprised too! Seriously no one really thought i will go for it since it is so unlike me! ;P

And when he found out abt it, he was like WOW!! Buy the magazine for me!! I wanna a copy and somemore ask me to give him my black tube top as he is going to frame that up! I am like hey no way man..i am so gonna keep it myself!! ahah..:P He is proud that i am one of the Top 100 of GND and was so damn proud that he went around telling his frens about it! ahaha..so hilarious and made me so pai seh lor..coz one of his frens actually texted me and asked me about it..so pai seh!

Well, the competition has ended and Dear Friends, your fren here dinch make it into Top 10..some of the gals whom i know got in..something like being shortlisted into Top 10? Hmm..weird hor..heard from some of them that they will shortlist 20 and then go for interviews? So weird..wonder how they gonna base their criteria on? Somemore got interviews lor..i thought it was like popularity..meaning top 10 with highest votes and then got in already mah..still must shortlist? weird..

But hey i am not sad nor disappointed..dinch expect to get into finals also and moreover i took part with the heart of wanting to get to know more peeps which i did..got to know some of the nicest peeps around and knowing me with so many guys in my circle of frens, hey i need some girl frens!! and im glad to have met some during this competition! and i had fun with all the events and stuff! And the weirdest thing is that i got picked up at bus stops!! ahha..W.E.I.R.D! Think the stupid guys must have seen me in the mag coz this has never happened to me before! Not at bus stops!

But to those girls that i have met and got into the finals, HEY GOOD LUCK YO! I will be rooting for you girls! :
